Hi all, besides the catalunya, were there any other uk tubos made in black? I ask this because I have seen two black L reg scoobs for sale, both advertised in different areas as uk tubo 2000's. I know some wrx Jap imports were black but these wern't jap imports as they had the `farmer' spec seats.

There was the Series McRae (one of my fave imprezas ) I think they were 1995?

 

These were dark blue mate, the two I saw were defo black and one was a five door.

 

black was a standard colour for the impreza but subaru canceled the
black after the catalunya came out.

 

Only a very few black cars were ever imported into the UK as standard UK cars, I think in 94 and 95. The colour was then dropped, and then magically re-introduced with the Catalunya in early 97.

Since then, there have been no "black" cars sold through UK dealers, until the recent "blue-black".

Who wants Black !! It's the most difficult to keep clean. I wanna Drive my Scooby not spend my weeknights and weekends scrubbing it !

 

I drove a black demo car in Summer '94 for a friend, at Common's in Northumberland. It was already badly scratched, due to careless drivers.

I think the colour was dropped from the list around Sept/OCt '94.
