Angry BUGEYE PPP

Anyone know when PPP was released for New Age Scoobs. My car was registered in April 2001 and when I bought it in Jan 2003 from dealer he told me it was PPP. However when I put it in for service at a well known Scoob specialist I was told car is completely standard apart from WR Sport tailpipe which is not the one fitted with PPP. No sports cat or silicon intercooler hose. Went back to dealer who says that basically I could have taken bits off myself and just be trying it on!!!! Car is not registered with Prodrive as being PPP so dealer says it may have had second hand PPP fitted by prev owner then took off by me!!! What a cheek!! Surely if car not recorded by Prodrive then it should never have been advertised and sold as PPP anyway. Dealer did not seem to have any idea why it was descibed as being PPP excuse being 'it was so long ago you should really have told us before now!' As a layperson I trusted an authorised Subaru dealer to know his stuff and tell me the truth. Anyway this case is in hands of localTrading Standards now and will be going to Court hopefully. Will post result in due course.

If you have the sale documentation which shows the car as being sold with PPP,and Prodrive say it isn't,then they're stuffed!

Thanks for that. Yeah I have order form, Warranty Book and receipt which all show WRX Prodrive and its def not so hopefully they are well stuffed. Its not even the compensation I am really after. Its a proper apology for the disgraceful way dealer has treat me. If I had my way his franchise would be taken away, salesman sacked and directors fined!!!

Don't go soft. They lied to you......you deserve compensation. Would you sell your car falsely advertised as having PPP? What you gain in compo will cover your losses

The PPP for WRX bugeye 2001 (not STi) seemed to be a bit of an afterthought AFAIK........

Didn't they just solder on a daughterboard to re-map without doing much else apart from a change in the back box ??
