Default Help with a Forester

Hi guys and gals,

Good to be here and joining in the community. We've just purchased a 2002 Forester S-Turbo Auto. but the only snag is it does not come with a driver's manual. I know a lot of people are not into reading manuals but I like to flick through to maximise my purchase. So, I have a few queries like :

1. Where can I order / download a manual for the car
2. If I can't get hold of a manual, does anyone know what type/spec. of M/oil goes into the car (?W/??)
3. It says near the fuel tank to use super unleaded - I presume this means 97/98 Ron but can 95 Ron be used?
4. What is the servicing interval for the car?

p/s Before I get flamed, it was the Mrs. who took delivery of the car so she didn't think to ask these questions. And it was a really super deal so we weren't too bothered that it didn't have a manual.

Thank you so very much for your help.

Thank you. I found the site soon after joining this forum. Having said that, the Americans have differing opinions on the type of oil - posibbly due to more changes to their weather condition.

Anyway, I've found out where I can get my hands on an owner's manual now so thanks again.

Hope you have got all your answers, just to let you know my 2002 Turbo manual is serviced every 10K, and 95 Ron is fine, I've run mine on it since buying it new and it has never missed a beat. My dealer told me that the Super unleaded is mainly for Europe where their standard unleaded is around 87 Ron.

Can I ask is yours fitted with the standard 16" wheels, or has it had the 17" alloys fitted. If it has the 17" fitted watch the tyre wear on the inner edge of the front wheels, they can tend to eat them unless you have the steering geometry revised.
