Been reading a few threads about people buying imports etc, just been reading one with a mileage of 82,000. We bought our K reg WRX with 80,000+ miles on the clock for about £4000, the radiator went on it and had other engine issues, so put it in to subaru to get fixed costing £980 and when they removed the radiator they discovered the car had been in a front end collision and had the front chassis welded. So shortly after discovering this we got rid of the car to a garage for £2500.

The reg of the vehicle was K161 LUA, so stay clear of it!!!

(The tracker we left in the car and ICE was worth more than we sold the car for, but just wanted to get rid of it at the time)

This is easily avoided by only buying a car which comes with the auction appraisal sheet. The pronblem is that most imported cars from 'import specialists' come from docks auctions and are low grade clocked ****e.
