About 700miles a month in a 03STI PPP
based on 22mpg that's £137/month or £34 a week (3/4tank a week)

You must do 2k miles a month based on my 22mpg!

I do quite a lot if mileage. filling up around 3 times a week @ £40 a tank. Math states 120 per week which means that it comes to around £480 per month. maybe knock off a couple of tanks here and there when i have weekends away and stuff prob brings it to around £400 a month @ least. I am with u matey. I have a P1, have had it 3 1/2 months and covered 7000 miles. i work out i get between 17 and 22 mpg. wish it wouldnt drink so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

£400 -£500 a month on the scoob (05 STi) but it really IS an everyday car, go pretty much everywhere in it!
And until I run out of money or become 2 old & senile 2 drive, whichever comes first, wll continue 2 admit 2 driving it with absolutely NO regard 4 fuel consumption whatsoever!
Cannot speak 4 Other Half, who frequently questions the need 2 use a 1/4 of a tank of Optimax on the school run & then has the nerve 2 cheerfully thrash it round the lanes at the remotest hint of a challenge, the bl**dy hypocrite!

£1,282.89 so far this year and worth every penny (except the times I have to do the shopping )
Just been keeping an excel spreadsheet on my car cost this year, even down to shampoo for the weekly wash
So far spent a total of £2,825.00, which includes selling some stuff and the big 91k cambelt service in jan.

Hi Folks We spend about £450 a month. However that is running 2 scooby's daily and our petrol is priced 98.9, bit dearer than youy guys in the uk. Small price to pay for having great cars though.

I'm with Minx,

put it this way...

I do around 200 miles/week at £50. this works out to be about 20 mpg. If you buy a black filth powered car (diesel) you might get 35mpg knocking around town going to work etc...

So in 10,000 miles you would have saved around £800 on the year.

Now question comes...

Is your Scooby experiance worth £66/month over that of a rattley nasty old diesel Golf/Astra/307???

THOUGHT SO....

I spend about £320.00 per month on fuel on my classic turbo

Have just switched to Tesco's 99RON from JS 97RON, fuel consumption has increased from 23mpg to 26mpg over the same type of roads and driving style.

Mine is a daily car, I used to run 2-3 cars... one daily chuffer and a couple of projects*.. realised that the Scooby is a great jack of all trades, trackday, dailycar, family car (I think so @ least ) hence everytime I fill up I remind myself I'm paying for the pleasure and the money I save on constantly chucking money into my garage can be spent on... well... more go faster bits for my scooby.... lol ... doh!!

According to my last Shell pluspoints statement, I used 173 litres of Optimax in July which works out at approx £160...not too bad considering the thrashing it gets!

I do 1,600 miles/month (4 wks) - that's around £250/month of Optimax
My MY03 WRX does 300 miles per tank (well per 50 litres as I don't run it dry).
