I might have to give my car back to the finance co, any ideas how to go about this, i have just lost my perfect job and now have to find something else , i put 5 grand deposit down any refund ?

Don't know if it's the same with Subaru/whoever, but with Toyota, they won't take a car back unless you've paid off half the amount on finance that you took out. (If you took out 15k on finance and only paid off 6.5k of it, they'd expect about another 1k before letting you walk away). Even then, you have to "apply" to hand the car back...

Best bet would be to try and ask a dealer if they'd be interested in buying the car - if they say yes, and the price they offer is more than the settlement figure of your finance, take it... (obviously, they pay the finance company on your behalf)
