Subaru are shafting me on monday for a cambelt service!!! Im told its around £600.

Ive already replaced the plugs, have a green filter and always provide my own oil.

How much you reckon im gonna get hit for?!!!

i would surgest giving scoobyclinic a bell matey,or if under warranty,try monty's in sheffield,they did my classic cam belt service for £460(including everything)and my 03 sti cambelt service for £325 all in

Just read this thread and my eyes popped out....£600 for a 60k service with subaru.

In about another 6 months I'm going to be in the same situation however the car is under the 1 year subaru warranty as I've only had the car a couple of months, so what do I do??

1. Get the cam belt and service done elsewhere and ask them to note any other mechanical defects so I can get it back to the dealer to fix free of charge?? (a bit sneaky I know)

or

2. Does the new EU law on cars being serviced under warranty (that it doesnt need to be done by the dealer) mean that the years subaru warranty given on an approved used car mean I can take it elsewhere anyway??
