Being an ex BMW owner i still frequent a site quite often
www.e36coupe.com
I was very suprisied after doing a search 'Impreza' to find
some very encouringing comments about our rides.
Such comments as 'Awsome motors'
Nothing like then in the twisties.
And M3 owners selling up for a Scooby !
All good stuff !

I have literally just joined this forum and came across your post as I have just sold an E30 M3 Cecotto (my beloved toy, still in mourning) as my family is growing and need something more practical and a car that will be used for more than just my pleasure! I am now looking for the only car that fits the bill: 5 door original Impreza.
It is a car I have always wanted to own, perhaps it will not be the same as the M3 in terms of race car for the road type feeling but it is not a bad substitute!

I'm always in awe of the E30 M3 - I've never driven one or owned one but they still look fantastic and if I ever get the chance, that will be very high on my shopping list!

I have a WRX classic Wagon with some light mods and it's quite simply
awsome.
It's the total package, i can get my dog in the boot, kids in the back with
total comfort and the assurance of AWD.
It is the best car i have ever had.
I also attend drag days at Santa Pod and The Shakespeare strip
and the Wagons hold there own bud.
A member on here has a Wagon running in excess of 500 BHP !!!!
you will not be dissapointed

I know what you mean, my stepfather has had a '97 5 door UK car from new and it is still going strong after 130k miles so I have driven them quite a lot. I always felt one day the M3 would have to go and in my mind it was always going to be replaced by a wagon, they are great cars and you are right I will not be dissapointed but for me the younger the car the less tactile and involving I find them, this is a trait of all cars not just Subarus or BMWs. I was initially looking at buying a bugeye but after driving one I was left cold, then I took a late model original for a spin...now that is more like it, I had a grin on my face and that says it all.
