What's the best Octane Booster to use?
I'm going for a run up to Sussex this weekend, was thinking of stopping off at Salisbury to try a tankful of 99 RON at Tesco. I am also thinking of putting a can of Octane Booster in the tank, but having never used it before, I'm not sure what's the best one to use. Any thoughts....? (And I mean THOUGHTS, not a full-scale 50 page thread full of PS Lewis arguing with everyone else about it!! Sorry Pete, but I've noticed that it usually ends up like that!! )

I've always used pro boost from TSL. Its always been really good. You might also want to check out the Power delivery graphs on the site.

year of car?
mapped to what ? - 95/97/98/99/100 ron
Is it an Import?
1 tank wont see any huge difference as it will have mixed with what ever you normally fill up with, 2 tanks and you will see a difference, as to boost i use proboost all the time, did try the millers, and didnt like the results, try all and then decide, but as before you will need a few tanks to decide. IMHO

Was in a hurry, so picked up a bottle of Nitro-boost from Halfrauds on the way. I waited till I filled up with 99 RON at Tesco in Salisbury, which i did from almost empty (took a chance there!!) and stuck the whole bottle in with a full tank of 99. Must say, after taking it easy for a few miles to let the ECU get used to it, I nailed it, and it really did make a difference!! Car was more responsive, picked up quicker, and seemed to have less lag on the turbo than usual (might just be me...) I'll be driving her around Worthing, Brighton and the general area this coming week, so will get a better idea of any difference by then. Maybe see some of the local snet-ters (if there are any local!), if they make themselves known.....
