Default extra cooling to an intercooler

Ok, you can buy water spays (or you already have them fitted ). I've seen nitrous sprays to cool the intercooler aswell. What about using C02 canisters rigged up to jets?? Shall i get my coat, or is this a viable idea??

Sounds a bit dangerous!

NOS do a kit called ntercooler I think. It sprays CO2 or NO2 across the face of the intercooler.

I guess if you do a DIY job you need to be carefull not to go too cold as this could have the reverse effect! - Tis why cars in very very cold conditions run like shiv!!!

A kit from NOS would be a good excuse to have a dirty great purge kit if thats your bag! (depends how much of a tart you are! )

the intercooler spray is standard on my 99 ra and works great.
If you have got a uk car then you can redirect your headlight washer piping and fit a wide spray nozzle

If you want real good results try the aquamist , will cost £500 + fitted i think but it depends if your running high boost etc as to what fix you require

Was thinking this the otherday about using NOS on the Intercooler after we threw a load of Icecubes on my mates intercooler when the weather was really hot and the car performed like it does on a cold early mornings. Was trying to think of anthing colder that could be sprayed on there and the only think I could think off was NOS. Had some other ideas but dont really want to be laughed at so Ill leave it there.

Also thought about getting the STi waterspray from ScoobyMania for £195, might be worth thinking about as my scooby seems really slow when its hot, I think it would struggle against a Impreza sport.
