I would love to have got a Type R ... but i was scared off by lots of peoples engines melting..

The Rs are definetly the best looking scoobs

They Sure Are

They will only melt if you up the boost without adding fuel, the same with any car. if you tune it correctely then it should be no problem Mine is running around 330bhp no bother.

If youre worried about the engine going, then get a P1 thats still got a warranty on it. There are plenty about with extended warranties, my old P1 had well over a years worth of subaru extended warranty on it.

P1 or typeR? well thats one of the most hotly debated issues on scoobynet! Depends on what usage you want for the car. The P1 IMHO is a better all rounder for everyday driving, motorways etc. The typeR is more ***** out with much lower gearing and quite a firm ride.

If you have an everyday second car and just want some weekend fun etc then the typeR is the way to go. An only car and I'd suggest the P1.

Ive owned both and now have a 22b which I use as an everyday car, however, it has a subaru warranty and the taller Uk gearing.
