hi,does any one no what rpm the tourbo should kick in at and how does the turbo no when to kick in?

What turbo? There are so many combinations.

The reason it kicks in (or the intake pressure rises) is that the compressor wheel is spinning enough to make more air go in than the engine can expel. If there is too much pressure then it is let out through the wastegate and/or a BOV.

That's a very, very basic explanation. I'm sure there will be thousands of technical replies soon.

not sure what turbo its a 93 wrx jap import

around 3000 rpm for standards
