My pride and joy on the passenger door. OK the damage isn't much but I guarantee I can never have a new anything for longer than 3-4 months without something happening.

By the looks of it by a shopping trolley (just a guess as there's no paint just scratches). The damage is no bigger than the size of a five pence piece and is not that deep. My guess is that I could probably sort it myself but I really am **** with cars. Clean, polish, fill up and check levels is the limit of my expertise and I'm not afraid to admit it .

Any tips for a novice scratch repairer ? Or should I play it safe and let the dealer sort it with the 10K service ? (which will probably kick in at the end of Sept).

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car.

I would suggest you consider taking it to somewhere like littleknocks, who specialise in repairing such damage. I'd avoid the dealer as a first option as they'll probably charge a lot more to sort it!
