Default Anyone know of an online guide to replacing the piston seals....

For front brake of MY96 turbo...






Need to replace them but not quite sure how to do it.

cant find the info at the mo,

car mechanics did a project scooby, and one of the covered things was a caliper seal change,,,

i,m still looking forv the mag... bear with me

it was the feb 2005 issue..

unfortunatly i cant locate my copy..

for the dust covers should be just pull off ,clean caliper , slip new ones on
should have a lip which sits in a groove in the caliper body and a lip that sits on the piston-lubricate with brake fluid to make it slip on easier
no harder than putting on a rubber johnny
got an old caliper at home i can pull apart and take pics of to show you what i mean if you want

oops i lied theres a small wire ring/circlip thingy that fixes the dust seal to the piston
ive got a pdf doc of the stripped brake assembly here

8 is the piston seal
9 is the piston
10 is the dust cover
11 is the locking ring
