got my my first wave whilst on a test drive of the car i bought.

funny.

i think that was the deciding factor when i got it.

all the boxes were ticked, then i got a wave, then i thought i got to get this.

never looked back

Talking Cooee!

Picked up MY52 Black sti bug on April 13th.
Got my first wave on April 14th just leaving Sainsbury's in Northfleet. Red newage with older driver.
Then 1 week later at roundabout going into Sainsbury's, he's behind me waving again.
He uses bottle bank, i park up and sit on bonnet. He drives round car park looking for me, we double park and have 5 minute chat. Fantastic start to scooby ownership. He was on his 5th impreza ffs!
Really nice fella, hope to see him again and have a longer chat, but some kids/chav types (sorry) started to take a bit of an interest so we called it a day until next time...
Enjoy, and wave on!!
Lexx.

Bought my bugeye last year, got 4 eaves first day's ownership, including one from an Evo. Loved it

Not so many each day since then unless travelling far afield, but most scoob owners do wave back.

I always get waves from owners of 'classics' but new age drivers tend to be a bit more aloof!! Bit of brand snobbery i suspect.

Around here I estimate it is about 3:1 (classic/new age) wavers. Very rarely get waves from women - perhaps it's meonder2:

I love the wave. There seems to be a lot of miserable so and so's in Kent who look at you as if you have just flicked them the bird rather than waved!! Does not stop me waving though.
Hi Lexx, I work in Gravesend. I am in a silver 05 wrx, what ya got and I will keep an eye out for you. Big Wave.

You will always get a wave of me in my 02WRX, i think its one of the best things about haveing a scoob.

Reminds me of the days when VW beetles where in, now there were some crazy days, and everyone waved.

Subaru owners in Northern Ireland never wave back, thats a lie, 1 did once. Wave at all of them and apart from that one guy, not one return wave.

Same as my missus in her New Beetle - they all wave at each other. I enjoy driving it having all those nice ladies wave and smile at me

I used to wait for other scoobs to wave, but always instigate it now. Hope that those who don't wave will learn for next time. If not, its their lack of courtesy not mine
