That's terrible!
You could always have a duff key to hand over just in case, that would bide you time to call the police as they tried to start the car etc... then grab your own means of protection whilst they're fumbling the getaway.

Well, as we say in Coventry about people from Bedworth - 'strong int, arm, thick int, ed'.
Seriously though, the police make me sick - 'if people own a high performance car people should take measures to protect themselves and their family'!
What crap, if they did their job properly and weren't closing rural police stations all over the place the scum wouldn't feel that they had carte-blanche re: taking peoples cars :Z

but if you do anything to them when they enter your home you are breaking the law. I don't understand this country, it's screwed up sometimes.
How about using the super lock feature every time? a bit over kill but even when you hand them the key the alarm won't deactivate without the code.
Or better still, let them take it them ring the tracker company 2 second later.

Sad thing is it does make you think twice about having a nice car - but if you worried about things being stolen, then we'd never buy anything nice for fear of someone taking it.
Like someone else said 'its only a car' - not worth risking some smackhead idiot stabbing you for or putting yourself or your family in danger.
Let the police and the insurance sort it out - its what we pay them for.

It seems that the rural east (midlands) gets far more trouble than central Birmingham..! Or at least that's how it seems.
As stated before I've lived in urban Brum all my life and only once, 12 years ago, did I have any trouble. The f@@kers nicked the alloys off my 205 gti..!
I do think it's also a matter of who you know, if you know what I mean..!

So just what are the police doing to try and stop it. Like others would have to say let them have it but ring tracker if gps fitted) so hopefully we can catch some of these b******s
Re the panic buttons suggest having a monitored alarm this should connect through to control centre and they can connect with police quicker than you can call them
