Default HKS RS

Im considering getting an HKS Racing Suction induction kit, does anyone have any comments about these? what are the performace gains and are there any problems I should be aware of.

My car is a UK300 PPP with full decat & HKS SSQV.

Thanks

Sy

You will probably get better filtration from a tea strainer! Seen the inlet tract after one of these - covered in black dust and general cack - as was the MAF (which needed replacing twice in 6 months)

Lightbulb ?

They are supposed to be very good. Its the Blitz one that has the repution for F**ked MAF's. They are a lot more money that the std HKS kit for just a bit of polished tube. I have had the green mushroom version and liked it but now have A'pexi cos its so pretty!!!!!!!!
Shop around as there are big savings to be made by a bit of time on the net.

No, believe me, I have seen it -it was an HKS SPF, but AFAIK, the filter elements are the same?

You pays your money and all that!

I know it is only the SPF but look at this page - http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/1/

The Blitz actually filters better than the HKS from the looks of things!

Default Interesting!

Good pics there. Just need to practice my Japanese. Still I'm pleased with the apexi pics!

Apexi certainly seems to be the best, good power gains too! Ive got a K&N bespoke jobby which seems the best of the rest.

I could be wrong and the RS may use a different element to the SPF though?
