Default Scooby Estate Turbo Size

Hi

Just taken the plunge and bought my first scooby! Best thing I ever did! It's a 2000 'X' 'Estate' I say estate hesitantly as there is probably loads of different names for it!

1 question I have is, is the turbo on an estate smaller than the saloons? Up till now I thought they were the same on all, but a mate said that the estates were smaller!" Any ideas?

Also, as it is bog standard, what are the first things that I should looks at replacing/upgrading?

Cheers

Paul

On earlier JDM cars the 'Wagon had a TD04 turbo whilst the Saloon had a larger TD05. UK cars all had a TD05 to begin with; later cars like yours all have a TD04, as do the New Age cars (although its different).

Personally Id avoid the McDonalds carpark dumpvalve route and start by having my geometry adjusted and my antiroll bars sorted out.

Air filter (pref not one you oil) rear box then part or full decat then some sort of proper remap would be the safest things to start with I guess . Oh and some Phillips bulbs from here http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/default.asp?home.asp as the standard lights onn the classic are a bit poor

some good background info here http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm for classics
