Default New Prices!!!!

I'm lucky enough to have a house in both the UK and the States and I keep a 2000 Model Scooby in the UK but have been toying with the idea of a new Scooby for a while - a 2005 STI is about £27K ish at home - in the States a 2005 STI which looks about the same spec to me currently works out about £18K on the road at todays exchange rate - are we at home being shafted or what!

I work in Saudi Arabia most of the time and run a BMW 5 series touring here and went down town to the car souks to see about a Scooby here - to be told that Subaru have with drawn from this market as cars did not sell and ther wer'nt allowed to bring the WRX as the government here said that they were to fast for the drivers! - but its OK for a 16 year old to have a 5.7 Hemi Durango at about £12K

Any comments lads?

YES As usual

Play the system and buy from an importer, or play it wisely and buy a better JDM spec machine for still less than a UK

www.litchfieldimports.co.uk will do a UK WRX for £16.5k, STi for £23-25k, or a selection of JDM spec cars and some well modified models such as the awesome Type20/25's :

That's nothing!! In Denmark, a new STI is 618,898 DKr, or approximately £55,600!!!!

UK tax is relatively small compared to the rest of Europe.
