Default My turbo seems to have a mind of its own?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Car is a MY99, which I've had for a month now.

On the drive to Goodwood today, there was a distinct lack of pulling power from my turbo. In fact, one could say it wasn't working at all, there was no turbo 'whine/whistle', and it wasn't pulling like normal.

On the way back, same kind of feeling....not the whoosh you normally get. Then all of a sudden, when I exited the motorway and took a long left turn at speed, it came back to life!! Car then accelerated/sounded like it should, and has been ok since then.

This is the first time that it has happened. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Could it be the MAF or boost solenoid? Could it be the hot weather?

I am going to get it serviced this week, and I guess will wait to see what comes out of that. Any suggestions in the meantime would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.

N.

MAF - part is about £80 from your dealer (they'll try to sell you the entire thing which is about £260!!! )

The part number is 22794AA010

IIRC, mine cost £78.

Thanks for the replies, seems like the MAF or a loose connection then. Hopefully no harm caused by driving yesterday, and they can sort it out at the service.

Thanks for the part number Dan.

Much appreciated.
