Thats better, and if you did it today then you can add a few Ib/ft due to the heat.

I think sometimes you can get carried away chasing power.

I would much rather spend time driving it! Making it go faster through skill and learning about the car.

In fact I might have to learn about the Clio cup now

Default Help on Spec C Identitiy

Can you give me an idea of finding something obvious to tell me if mines a Spec C too or a standard JDM STI. The reason I ask is my car went to Prosport for a remap STI Prodrive panel filter and uprated fuel pump/. When they plugged the laptop into the ECU it said the car was a limited edition 1 of 300. Asking what was ltd about it trhey said there was nothing in the map to identify this only that it says its A SPEC C! Now I was pleased with this..........obviously. The car has a decat downpipe, mid and backbox (the downpipe was tailor made for the car by Blueflame Exhaust in Skelmersdale for £180 fitted in case your interested) Anyway the car went on the rollers at Prosport and the outcome on paper was 359BHP and 330Ft lb of torque which makes me think it is a Spec C as these figures would be difficult to get from a simple change of exhaust, filter and fuel pump. If you have any obvious things you could list for me to compare then I'd be really grateful..

Incidentally the lads at Prosport are undoubtedly the beat and most honest bunch of lads Ive ever met in all my years of performance mods and serving work

Thanks mate

If its a Spec C it will have a small roof vent, and a water tank in the boot.

and if its a spec C it wont sound like a scoob, ie no warble due to the equal length headers.

oil cooler - depending on year - think the MY05 type RA is limited to 300 cars. Also look for front and rear strut braces (year dependant) - has it got the larger hubs (check the PCD of the wheels)? etc etc

Spec'C'57,
Just as a matter of interest, where did you get your runs done (previously and present)?

If your on a UK map, who did it and what boost is it peaking and holding?

Just interested...... before I make a comment!

Regards,
Shaun.

rather happy you might guess.....

first runs @ clives altho not much after collection from you so approx 2500 miles under its belt was only 292bhp but still an awesome 315lb now after 7000 miles ( already) and service by xtremes with a centre decat the figures above were made....

Quick Reply: The spec'c' gets 325bhp/348lb......
