New bumper adds insult to injury (no pun intended) by making car 2" longer and I suspect no lighter!
If you are going to add 2" - do it to the arches
If you are going to take off 2" - take it off the roof and make it a 2 door coupe
Oh yes, and dont forget the 350 lb ft 2.5 with DSG......

I like the new rear diffuser, not so keen on the front alfa bit. saying that I didnt like the bug or blob eyes either at first, (still not keen on the bug eye) but they do grow on you when you hear the growl

Wow! That looks really nice. Its way better than any of the spy shots I have been looking at. Of course, my opinion may change when I see it in the flesh.
But if its as nice as that, I'm already saving!

I think the next SAAB will look uncannily like this
Of all the Newages, this one is the least offensive upon initial impressions. Bodes well since although ugly, the bug and the blob have become accepted IMO (well the blob has to most)

I quite like it. But then, I'm leaning more towards liking the bug eyes at the moment.
From the right angles they look much more aggressive than the blobs and this new version

I'll take one. Black looks very good! As does Blue and white, less sure about red and that funny almost beige colour!

Erm totaly undecided about it
kind of like the STI but think the grill could be improved, but as for the WRX, as much as we all hate the standard spoiler I think it looks worse without one at all !!!

Anyone got any info on the stripped out Spec C 'competition' version.
They are only £23,995 but are apparently not suitable for road car use.

Lights are from SAAB, grill from SEAT….Looks horid..the only good looking impreza is a classic GC8! Can’t believe they left the rear as it was, just a minor change but still looks a monstrosity! Think I will stay with my classic until they design something better.

I totally hate the front grille. It's too Alfa and SEAT.
I quite like the overall look of the cars. The headlight restyle works for me. Not sure about the rear lights.
The Wagon looks to have gone upmarket. It looks quite stylish.

I'll take a black one please. No one ever bought a scoob cause they are pretty. I include Foresters and Legacy's in that.
If you want pretty go buy an Alfa GTA .... and a second car for the long periods when its in the garage.
So long as the scoob has the right internals I couldn't give a stuff whether its got a SEAT/ALFA/whatever grill and its 2" longer shorter higher or lower.
'Moan the scoobs.

me thinks they have lowered the STI ram scoop even though I.M. & Prodrive forbid me from my reducing mine (got used to it now - however must look pretty offensive to most women...)
Quite like the WRX in silver as a Q car - just give me my 350 lb torque - could remove STi rear spoiler and wait for 2.5 I suppose - dont see why the 2.5 isnt coming out same time as face change - latest wisdom says Spring 06 - so summer 06 - a year off before PPP extract 350 -
will be interesting to see what Prodrive make of Ian Lichfields comments re 2.5 - ie fragile for 'big numbers' - frankly I think the T25's 400 lb ft would totally dominate the driving experience in the same way the torque of the 500 Griff is less desirable than the 4.3s err, finess - I am sure I would prefer around 350-360 lb ft with same weight and similar gearing. - But i really would love it this Autumn at a price I can afford -
An early T25 with the lower torque would be great, but would have to be a lot less money when a new STi UK import is £20k + say £2k to upgrade to 350 - would be tempted @ below £21k for the T25... - suppose it should happen as soon as the new 2.5 PPP is announced in the Spring - meanwhile a WRC or similar upgrade looks tempting for the winter...

Showing the WRX with, Sti style blobs on the side of the front bumper, Sti side skirts, Sti dials, Sti high level spoiler.
Hope it comes to the UK like this. I must admit the MY06 looks better every time I look at it.
