i like them but the rest of the car must be done to suit. Not necessarily have a full WRC bodykit, but i wouldnt put it on a car with standard wheels and standard ride hieght etc

jimby, would love one, only problem being they are £8,500 from Prodrive ( Carbon Fibre ) and also they will not sell you one unless you have a WRC car. So the next best thing is one from AGM Racepaints.

Track down "Gangstasmurf" in the Essex section, I'm sure he has one on his WR1, looks the mutts nuts.

I think there was a Thread in cars for sale not so long back when he was trying to Flog it, Images were on there and he's a pleasant chap so nI'm sure he'd assist in the quest to find one.

Look for WR1 Forsale by him

If all else fails PM me and I'll get his details for you if it helps

regards "MADDOG"

PS They are a lot cheaper than that, I would never had paid £1200 for it.

I'd never buy one for £1200, but I wish they'd come standard on the STi's. STijoy's looks the nuts.

SOrry, I can't see ANY reason like this spoiler - apart from the comic value!! (All IMHO of course )

Sure, it probably works on a WRC, but not a road car. But that's for functionality, not form/fashion.

Still, FWIW, it looks slightly better than the EVO WRC spoiler - the one that looks like it was fitted on a Friday

Still, each to their own

it gets rid of all the flexing and wobbling in the spoiler, when doing speed testing, and was told it does help on downforce, people either love it or loathe it, that is life, you will never get everyone liking the same thing.

if your going to do it it has to be the official WRC version/shape. You cant get away with just adding the fins to the spoiler cos that defo looks liek a wannabe. IMO

Would suit your reebok classic and sweatpant look then martin! You should buy one! Innit!

These IMO complete the look of the cars. I've found that the car feels more stable at higher speed and also you don't see the spoiler flexing like crazy when gunning it. You can see perfectly well out of the rear window as the fins themselves are quite thin. It also got rid of that annoying whistle that these cars make at certain high speeds (on private roads of course)

Main reason I bought one was because it completed the rally heritage look of the car.

To answer your questions matey ...

1. Yeh they do but they will only sell one if your name is Petter or Phil - although I suspect if you went there waving £10,000 in cash at them you'd walk away with one. There is a japanese company that sells exact carbon fibre replicas that sit off the back of the bootlid. can' t remember the name but they built an entire carbon fibre impreza ... think the cost was something like £3,000.

2. No I've found it makes the car more stable at high speeds.

3. No you won't - people don't call Petter Solberg a coc$ and he has one. Plus it will make your car look more like the WRC car - which is a good thing.

4. They look the absolute nads - hence why I bought one!

no offense to gansta smurf, its a personal thing i know, but it looks nothing like the official spoiler. It just looks like you've stuck slats down the middle as opposed to this...

automodell ...

Agreed that it doesn't look like the actual WRC spoiler but it still looks pretty damn good. At the time of getting it I only knew of Prodrive selling them for something like £8k. Still think it complements the car nicely ... one of the ESC has a Sonic Blue STi with one - looks classy on that also.

yeah but your sex change operation didn't make you look 100% like a man. But it was good enough for you to be able to fool most people.
