It was from feb 2003 ie car could have been PPP,d after this date and would have got a re flashed ecu from prodrive in exchange.not the piggy back version. 259bhp slight difference in down pipe, blob eye wrx with PPP makes 261 bhp. original piggy back ecu PPP was 242bhp.

PPP was an optional extra for the UK300 (2001) so not fitted as STD. IIRC
And as DBY say's if PPP'd prior to Feb 2003 they soldered in a Daughter board into ECU and after PPP'd was a remapped ECU.
