Verymuch of it depends on the postcode, parking it on the street will also upthe cost. I would have thought something in the region of 700-1200 pounds.. try confused.com and it will give you a quote from 95% of the uk insurers

The only place that would insure me for uder £3000 was Tesco at the time, they did require a tracker, which is not a bad thing to spend your money on.

Now pay £900 (with £1000 Excess)

25 year old 3 years ncb and IN10 7 points

Virgin.co.uk are underwritten by the same company, but offer cheaper quotes, with free monthly pay option if you require.

If you are clean driver, i hear elephant.co.uk are unbeatable with uk cars.

Hope this helps.

P.S small tip, sometimes works sometimes doesn't, if you are getting quote on-line you have the option of altering fields to your advantage. Even if it is just you to drive, put your mum/dad/someone with very little risk, on your policy as a named driver. with elephanrt this can sometimes take hundreds off a policy. Trust me
