Default BRAND NEW 05MY STI PPP £ 24K - GOOD DEAL?

Guys,
Took delivery of my new 05 STI 2 weeks ago, Car is currently back at the dealers getting the PPP fitted. New STI mats, full tank of fuel. Subaru Finance 8% APR. Knocked the dealer down to £24,250 for a straight deal. I Think this is a pretty good deal.
I dont mean to wind anyone up who bought new models before the free PPP deal but I reckon this is probably the most car anyone is going to get for this price.
Local Mits dealer wanted £ 28500 for an FQ320. £ 4250 in my hipper for 15 hp less I can well live with!
This is my first Scoob after owning a few evo`s, 6, mak etc.
The car is superb and will get better when I got a few miles on it. Cant wait to get back from offshore and pick her up on Tuesday.
Car has got 700 miles on her , how long shall I wait before I up the revs( PPP will be fitted) ?
Paul.
p.s 8.1 % APR = 4.5% flat..

For a dealer that doesnt seem bad, finance is a bit steep though, should have haggled for 4-5% flat
enjoy anyway

Start to slowly increase the revs after the 1k service, go from 4k to 4.5k for 50-100 miles, then 4.5k-5k 50-100 miles etc, by the time you reach the red line you should have done a nice 1500+ miles but the engine will still be tight for around 4k more miles before you start to feel the benefit of 300bhp.

Great price that. Finance too steep though as there are much better deals around at the mo.

When i bought mine 3 years ago i got the scoob dealer to match the best deal around at the time, and that was 5% flat, you should be able to get lower than that now..

Good price on the motor mate but it looks like they have taken the saving back (and a bit more) with the finance.

Never mind the motor will keep you smiling !!

Better deal than I got on my new 05 STi with free PPP.
Did you have a trade in though? I did, a Ford Focus RS. They always say you get a better deal without trade in's

Forgot to say. I did get a better finance deal though. Got the dealer to match best quote I got elsewhere.

Isn't 8% APR roughly 4% Flat?
Not bad for IM.

Default That's definitely a good price

Mine came out at £25,050 but had to pay for the PPP but got free servicing (and mud flaps) instead back in March.

I think you got the better deal though, in hindsight. Never mind, I've been enjoying the car longer than you have .

I think your right with part exchange. They gave me £15,500 for my MY04 WRX with PPP . Serves me right for being envious of all the STI drivers out there . Once you get one you just want more power.

Have a great time.
