hi all,
out with the lads last night for a spin and engine monitor light came on.

Any answers to why and best advice and action to take.

The light has now gone off but the problem will still be there i take it.

The car is a MY01 Bugeye wrx ( standard )

now its got this light on the dash, and it may be serious..

ive only had the car for three days and its costs me a packet in hp etc..

please tell me i havent killed it....

cant advise on 01 models but you may be able to pull the blink codes from the cel (check engine light)

rough guess, how many times did you bounce it off the rev limiter??

hi m8,
got to say your wrong on most of what you've said, this is my 2nd scooby and nothing will put me off them.

But got to say your right on the rev limiter, but only touched it the once.coming off a roundabout in second.
Never happened before so im going to do the wire test and see whats what.
Anyway m8 thanks for your reply, seems like everyone else just wants to answer back on questions about " how fast" and " what mods". Never mind a real problem.
