Default Broken glovebox handles...

Has anyone else (I say this but it was actually my mother) managed to break the release handle off the glovebox? It doesn't look like its actually snapped any plastic though.

Question is how do I get all the things that I need from inside and can the handle be refitted so it will work properly again??

Note to self: Don't let women near the car ever again.. (I am joking by the way, would never be that sexist - could have happened to anyone)

A replacement glovebox from ebay or a Subaru brakers shouldn't be too much money.

Depending on your, I think you can unscrew the whole lower dash panel, or at least undo some of the screw to be able to open it.

Brute force and ignorance I say!

Thought about a replacement, but I need to get this one off first without breaking anything else on the dash.. I'm not replacing the whole lot

Wink

My nipper did the same on my MY96 managed to open the box, by inserting a screwdriver into the arm unit (hole in the box lid) and lever the catch back..

I then just pushed the locating arm back behind the handle mount and snapped the handle back on

job done
