Question What would you choose

Ok

My wife wants a new car, is looking at Forester 2.5XT, Nissan X-Trail, Honda CR-V. What to choose???
Also liked look of a Nissan Murano!!, even enjoyed driving it, dispite the leather (uck) and the automatic CVT trans, but loved the orange colour
So putting all bias aside, what would you choose?????????

What sort of driving does she do?
What kind of driver is she?
What's her current car & what does she like / not like about it?
Will the car b 4 her use only?
Give us a few clues & might b able 2 come up with something!

The Subaru is the best .... but, due to the depreciation, I wouldn't buy it.

The Honda CR-V is a safe bet, I didn't like the X-Trail ....

Which would I get??

The Toyota RAV4 - of course, it holds its money - and is the best all rounder, IMO

Er... I had a RAV4 - don't consider myself either of those...

Mind, I only kept it nine months - was just too slow (I had the D4D VX model).... Traded it in for a WRX - so glad I did

Back on topic now...

Dunno if I'd go for the Nissan - they lose loads too I bought a new Primera a few years ago - the dealer price was £19.2k (for the 2.0 XE+ model) - I kept it for a year before getting fed up - the best offer I had on it was £9k. £10k drop in a year

I wasn't too upset though - I bought it through JamJar (when they first started up - they had real good deals on Nissans. I managed to get it from them for £13.5k, so wasn't too upset by the £9k offer. JamJar were selling new 200SX's for £16k at the time too)

I went from a WR1 to the Forester 2.5 XT. For the sort of driving we do it's a better car. When i can get the missus out of the driving seat and push on in it, it's a fun car to drive. Very easy to reach and control it at its limit.

I'am quite happy with my 03STi. It is definitely the wife who is changing from her espace. We as a family no longer have a need for 7 seats, but after driving the espace for the last 3.5 years, covering 52000 miles, she has decided that a higher seating position is very nice, and quite likes the design of some 4x4s.

Adding an import into the realiable side of the family, is not really an option. We live in the North East, a fair distance from litchfields, and as is known, getting a import serviced, is like pulling teeth. She wants to be able to drive to dealer, drive out in a curtasy car, return in the evening to swap back.
