I'm getting 36mpg!!

Is it the weather??

Is it the acid rain??

Is it the new CarLube Oil??

Is it the MAF Sensor??

What do you reckon the **** will say??

That's perfectly normal for my Scoob... It seems to sit between 24 and 26 mpg for hacking around the backroads unless I'm REALLY naughty. On a long run, I get 30+ mpg.

But then I have mapped it myself to be fairly fuel efficient. (No, I don't drive like Pete either )

My other car gets 18 mpg on a good day... Something has to be the economical run-about

Why do you tweak-it to get less mpg then???

Don't get it??

Drive at less than 3000RPM and 36mpg is actually achievable!!

Imagine the savings you'll make!! as well as not looking like a right *****, racing about!!

if i wanted ecomony I'd have bought an economical car - a diesel oil burner or something.

I bet you're a hazard to all those cyclists that overtake you @ <3000rpm on the dual carriageway

You'll just need an engine rebuild due to carbon buildup instead

Imagine the cost of that....

Yeah & as demonstrated on Top Gear, u can apparently drive an Audi A8 from London 2 Scotland & back on a single tank of fuel by never exceeding 1200 rpm but where's the fun in that?

if mine was getting that much mpg I would be at the garage finding out if its running right. at one time I was getting 30 plus mpg on my wrx, I found out it was running lean which is dangerous for the pistons apparantly.
