STI 7(JDM/UK) Vs STI V5/6 ???
hi there
just wondering whats the difference between them, as i am thinking of moving on for a newer model....can anyone who have driven STI 7 JDM and UK specs give me some idea whats it like?? also how does an STI 7 compare to an EVO 6???

i have a 5 type r, only thing i would swap it for is an evo 6, looks, performance everything, my friend had a makkinen and it was v cool. did have problems with it though, always seemed to be back at mitsubishi, but when it flew, it really did. you can get them for 13k now too but servicing every 4500 miles and more to insure aswell.

Never driven an sti 6. Mine is around the 290lb of torque and 325bhp. But thats not standard,0 to 60 times i've never timed. I used to have a my00 uk turbo.I do notice the extra lag on the sti and it does need to be driven at slightly higher revs to keep it on boost.

Well the biggest difference is the avcs valve timing, plus the engines are different again, different and better components etc, usual developement stuff.
0-60 and 0-100, considering that the JDM car is heavier, its just as quick with the bonus of better brakes and gearboxes
