Default WORLD RALLY CAR MUDFLAPS

I've just purchased a set of 4 WRC mudflaps for £42.50 off ebay.
The ones that cost £199 a pair judging by the sellers feedback they are the real thing. Have to see when I get them.

Are these all he is selling, or does he have lots? I'd quite like some if he has more

I've just bought a set of these in blue with yellow STI decals.

I haven't fitted them yet and I think they'll be ok for the money - they are definately not worth £199. But then you get what you pay for. The material is quite flimsy and I guess will flap around quite a bit when fitted and driven. But they were less than £50 for 4 - so it's ok.

There is no fitting kit though other than a bag of self tappers - I believe that best results with mudflaps are when a special bracket is used - anyone advise on this??

Cheers

Terry

Phil, i chose black, tis my car with them fitted in the picture. fitting kit abit basic(bag of self tappers). I like the high gloss of the material, matches my car

Saw these as well but decided that you get what you pay for so I'll pass on them for now!

I have just finished fitting mine which I bought from the same guy. It does take a bit of work to get them level (around 2 hours for all 4 wheels) but they look stunning. And to be honest, I would rather have my flaps 'flappy' rather than the solid type. With the latter, I have heard many horror stories about people going over speed bumps and ripping the flaps of!

Have a look and see what you think.

this I might get some ordered.. just need to decide what colour now

I take it people who have bought these are happy with them? Did you just use the self tappers to fit them or do somenthing else cleaver?

Isn't there a template somewhere to get mounting brackets made.. sure I've seen 'em somewhere on here

According to the guy who is selling them they already come cut to fit. I'll just have to wait and see what they look like.

Chrispurvis100. they look stunning. Well smart. Have you got the front flaps the same distance from the ground as the rear?

I've ordered the WR blue with pink STI decals to go with my pink grill badge.

Phil.

They do look well. Did you have to remove the wheels to fit them?

I,ve just bought the WR blue to go with my dark blue mica. I choose the WR blue to try and give the car a brighter touch.
PM me your email address and I'll send you some pics when I fit them.

You get 20 self tapping screws supplied. You don't really need to use them all, you can use some existing screws on the car.
My car is lowered already so it was abit of a squeeze to get sit low enough and not rub on the ground. Eventually settled for about a 2 inch clearence all round.
They do rub a bit when going over speed bumps but, because they are flexible, it doesn't cause any damage.

Takes a bit a patience to get them level, and you may have to take them off and re-fit them a couple of times, but well worth it. Took me 2.5 hours. Not bad considering I was using the subaru jack!

Looking very smart. You not fancy some clear repeaters and bumper indicators. I think your motor would look mint with that touch.
