Default auto to manual

Apart from the gearbox, how many other items need to be changed or modified if you wanted to convert a Forester from automatic to manual.

Never done this particular changeover but it would be usual to need :-
Flywheel,
Clutch pedal unit,
Clutch assembly,
Clutch hydraulics.

You would need to compare the gearbox mountings and drive shafts.
If your gearbox has an oil cooler (usually mounted in front of the radiator) you would need to remove it.

The ECU might be different, no doubt someone else will be able to tell you this.

Hope this helps/

Surely the diffs will be different also? They certainly are in an Impreza, and a Forester is an Impreza with a different body... The final drive ratios in the similar differentials will need changing too.
