I just got my insureance renwal through today and nearly collapsed. I'm 29, with a full no claims bonus (since 19) , no points and never had an accident where I;ve been at fault ( 2 rear enders at lights the most recent some 4 years ago). I have an new MY00 with a Cat 1 imoboliser and park the car in a car park in Enfield North London and Admiral are asking a staggering £1770.62 !!

If anyone of a similar age in the London area can point me in the direction of someone a little more realistically priced I'd be really grateful.

N1 postcode
Street parking
MY00 - no mods
Age 30
Full NCD
no claims/convs
Accountant

My renewal from Privilege was just over £900 which included protection of my NCD - which I beleive cost me over £100 by itself!

Beat all the others I tried by a country mile.

I have heard that Frizzell are worth a try (but they couldn't do anything interesting for me).

Goodluck.

You are not alone being shafted by Admiral Allan. My MY97 scooby costed £550 last year.
They wanted £1350 for my brand new Scooby 3 weeks ago !!. I am now with Hill house hammond (AXA policy) for £950 & I live in Woodford Green (which is not that far from you).

Red face

Your aving a laf aren't you guvnor :O

Did you make it clear that the third party cover on all other vehicles didn't have to include the space shuttle?

Try A-Plan. £870 fully comp, age 27, MY00, parked on street, Cat 1, full no claims, Middx.

If I ever try Admiral in the future it sounds like I'd better be seated when the quote comes through...

I think that Tom's competetive for P1s and not too hot on UK MY00 Turbos.... Please correct me if I'm wrong, as he's only around the corner from me!

Looks like Privilege are the best at £1083 with a £350 excess and Zenith via Scrrentrade at £1013.47 but with a £500 excess. The worst were Norwich Union at a wallett thinning £1986.98 !!

Looks like Previlege are the best bet again
