This is getting trickier. The S14a has about 250 bhp with that boost and a nice big zaust, plus not as much tranny loss and it weighs 1267Kg.

Just a thought, but rather than asking, couldn't you actually post which one is quicker (inc. the ST220)? Am I right in thinking these are real cars etc., so you could go for a drive with them and find out (obviously not by racing, officer)???

hi guys, newbie here, just trying to do a lot of reading to soak up some info.
will be getting a wrx with a £4k budget soon when i sell my 200sx S14.
basically i've had a little run in with a mates 94'wrx in my car. at the time all i had was a crappy powerflow exhaust, uprated fuel pump and 12psi boost. he had a passenger while i was on my own. didn't do a launch but from second gear to the top of third(100mph) i was very slightly gaining on him.
there's really a lot of variables though as my cars got 18" wheels which probably didn't help acceleration.sorry if my bias towards the sx shows lol. probably change when i get the wrx. i'm gonna stop there otherwise i'm gonna go on and on and on........

Not sure, like someone said above, 240-250 ish. It has quite long gearing, so im sure i will have him off the line. Top speed though he would beat me, he's had 150mph on the clock still pulling (errm, on the track of course). Book says mine tops at 146mph.

ahem i let him get in front of me cos i wanted to see for myself which was quicker rather than looking in the mirror. well thats my story and i'm sticking to it

I've no idea what power the WRX is putting out with those mods........

But I used to get munched off the line by STI's when I was running similar mods to above on my 200........ third and fourth were a different story though....

The car is irrelevant, most experts say that a driving course for £200 is far more use than most mods.
