Power to weight ratios (Classic, bug-eye & Blob-eye)????
I've done a search but haven't come up with anything so I'm putting this out to you guys......
I'm interested to know what the power to weight figures are for each generation of impreza (Classic, Bug-eye & Blob). bhp per tonne??
The classic was the lightest with the lowest bhp figure, the bug-eye heavier but increased bhp and so on!
On a level playing field which has the best power to weight ratio?
I have a classic and know that standard this is 218bhp but I'm unsure of the weight! To be honest I haven't got a clue what the others are (standard).
Anyone willing and able to help?

Check out Evo Webby:
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/evo_data/the_knowledge/?4
They have some on there.
Oops, just realised they have power to weight ratios, but not weight as they have in the actual magazine.
From memory, the classic weighs in at 1235kg and the new-age at about 1380kg.
Also have a look at this thread I joined in:

Not that you asked, but just in case we meet on a deserted dual carriageway
My standard-ish 205 Mi16 (170 bhp/920kg) = 184 bhp/ton with 2WD losses

The new shape cars have different weights, the STi's are heavier presumably down to the six speed box.
I think from memory a blobeye STi was something like 1470kg.

Agree about the RB5, hadn't noticed that when I copied the figures.
I'm sure there are plenty of discrepencies, but I'm happy with the approximate figures here.
