Angry cat pipe

hi, does any one no what the sensor is for by the cat on an original down pipe and is it needed on a de-cat pipe thanks neil5536

the lambda sensor is in the manifold im on about the one by the cat

early cras have it in the manifold, later ones have it just before the cat. If it's actually in the cat pipe itself or just after the cat, it's the cat temp sensor.

yeah its just after the cat is it needed in a cat bypass pipe

Mine doesn't have that sensor in it, I doubt you need it as it's to warn of the cat reaching high temps. If you have no cat, it won't get hot. IIRC, mine's just taped up somewhere under the car.
