Colours That Do Not Chip?
#1
Are there any colours that are better than others for stopping stone chips. I was thinking of buying a DBM but I've heard so many bad stories about the quality of DBM that I have decided against it. What about red mica or sonic blue?

Mine's a DBM MY00 with 4000 miles on it and no stone chips (That 4K miles is since new 2.5 months ago)
I think the paint job's fine.
My intercooler and radiator look a bit bruised though!

MY00 DBM with 10000 miles on the clock. A couple of stone chips, but nothing worse than I've had on previous cars. The Subaru's (especially the DBM) are known to have 'soft' paint. Couple of things you can do is put a decent wax on the car (you know who ), this will help to 'toughen up' the car or put something like Armourfend on the vulnerable bits (saw a P1 with this yesterday and it was only possible to see it on the bonnet where some polish hadn't been wiped off).
It's a fairly slab-fronted car, so you're going to get a few chips (also recommend getting the headlamp / foglight protectors).

Rather have a few stone chips on my DBM than drive a 'girlie' red mica!! sorry!!
Silver looks good but I have had many silver cars so time for a change.
White is BAD news
Stick with DBM and look after your residuals
