I have just brought a WRX STI Version 4 which has an intercooler spray. When filling this up can I use water from tap or do I use de-ironized water?

Also does anyone know where I can get a manual from for the WRX STI version 4 because mine did not come with one!

Cool

Tap water will be fine, but what do you do in the winter with the bottle freezing, is it ok to use some sort of antifreeze or a washer bottle addative?

Tap water is fine, but no anti-freeze / washer fluid.

Cool

years ago meths was added to screen wash as an antifreeze /antismearing agent ,as long as its not neat! this may also improve cooling as it evapourates quicker.

So lets consider what might happen to the meths on a hot engine ... possibly ok if added in the correct quantity (whatever that may be) but not recommended unless you know whats what I would suggest. Great on the windscreen though, used to do this and its very effective.

Do you need the spray in winter? I would have thought the air would be cold enough

Richie.
