90k service due, but who to go to?
Crikey, 90,000 miles in under 2 1/2 years. I've been doing a search before asking about the costs and best places to go but all the old threads are about the classic that has the cam belt change, the 02 has that done at 100k.
So, with the mega miles (and a new engine 10k back) is it worth having the main agent stamps in the book? Scoob prices are so low now it's probably not worth it for me? As much as I like the local main agent I need to keep the costs under control but don't want to skimp.
Any ideas what the price differences are likely to be?
Cheers!
Mike

Just a bit of advice, always check the prices of the replacement parts before the service compared to what you can buy them for on the net.
At my 60K service in a well known garage at Tewksbury earlier this week they charged me £50 (£58.75!!) for a set of 4 PFR7B spark plugs which can be bought in scoobynet shop for £33.25. I am fuming about it but not much I can do now

To answer the thread, I don't think taking it to a specialist will harm your resell values at all, as long as it is a specialist! If anyone complains, you could always remind them about *cough* a certain oil change memo *cough*

Can't recommend Steve @ Northants Subaru enough. I have never ever dealt with a mechanic who is so reasonably priced yet does such an excellent job. I keep reminding him he's not a charity!! If you want to supply your own parts he will have no problem with that at all.... Since he works on your car personally you know it gets done right. He is based in Towcestor.

I've been looking around as the car i'm buying requires a 30K Service. I think the 90K is the same schedule
The rough prices I've had so far
Scooby***** in Nottingham £345
Power***** in Twekesbury £352
Dealer A Hereford area £450
Dealer B Hereford area £530
depends how far you Travel
