I think it was the 'UGLY' one?

They had to do something to make those looks palatable!!

Yeah that might make sense !!

Was pretty sure the MY03 was, just wasn't sure if it was earlier than that.

I thought for the MY01, it's 10k on a UK one and 7.5k on a Euro import.

Yes - Bugeye on.

Yeh it's an my01 so 10k must have started with the new age but not straight away as mine came with 2 service books a 6k and a 10k and on the 6k book there is a big stamp across it in red that says Superseeded.

Yep my MY01 was registered July 01, had to wait for new service book after delivery, understand bug eye on was for the 10k service routine.

I seem to remember reading when I bought my MY01 that the rule came in at the end of the year, so those already sold and registered prior to christmas were not part of the rule change. Lots of shouting then followed on this forum.

I had a Feb 01 bugeye, which still had a 7.5k service book, and lots of confusion followed regarding service intervals with various dealers. I had some 7.5 services and some 10k services - no one wanted to change my service book however.

Default 10 k servicing

All 01 my Impreza's (WRX,Bug eye,GX) etc onward are on 10k/1yr servicing, in the chassis number, the number before the "G" is the model year indicator for example:
JF1GGAKD3(1)G000000 INDICATES A 01 MY vehicle. 2G means 02 my
All early WRX's (dec 00) onwards were supplied on 6month/7.5k service and then
to confuse things further as of February 2002, along with Legacy H6 models was back dated to cover earlier cars.

Basically all WRX bug eyes registered IN THE UK, BY UK DEALERS are on 10k , All naturally aspirated Bugeyes are on 1yr/12k servicing. Parallels continued to be serviced at 6months/7.5k untill mid 2003 (03my)
