IMPORTANT NEWS - TRAX 2000!!!!!!!!
#1
OK, hopefully those of you that have booked tickets for TRAX will have received them in the post this morning.
Please ensure that you have all the necessary bumf(?) as follows;
If you are going on track, you should have an envelope for each session containing your track time session ticket (a small plastic card), photo passes, and a yellow club stand windscreen pass. If you have multiple track sessions, you should still only have one yellow pass. You should also have your entry tickets.
Those of you not on track should just have your entry tickets and the yellow pass.
The yellow pass is vital, YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO THE SIDC ARENA WITHOUT IT! Place it in the windscreen before arriving at Silverstone.
All cars that are boked on track have a place in the SIDC arena.
The track sessions are booked for 10.20, 12.40 and 3.30. You need to attend a briefing ONE HOUR before your session (multiple track sessions only attend first briefing).
You need to wear long trousers and sleeves if driving on track.
If any of you missed the club offer on entry tickets but are still going, I have a few Arena Passes available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Likewise, if anyone would still like to go, call TRAX on 01509 882313 and book your tickets and I can send you a pass.
Please get to Silverstone between 7AM-9.30AM if possible, so that we can organise the arena. I will be there from 6am onwards.
I have a number of Early Circuit Ride tickets for rides round the track in Elises with instructors, ideal for those with children or partners that would like a ride.
These will be issued on the day to those that pay the mos...ask me first!
These must be used between 8.40AM-9.30AM.
If anyone has something missing, or is unsure what session they are in, please contact me or post here.
This will certainly be a day to remember and hopefully will run smoothly.
Duke Video will also be in attendance filming for their forthcoming 'The Impreza Story' video, and are keen to interview as many owners as possible, so clean those cars!!!!
I look forward to seeing you all there.
Stef.

I thought it was 1 ticket per car and not per person. If it is per person I need one more entry ticket. Stef, can I get this from you or do I need to ring Trax to get one. Sorry to be a muppet!!
Also, I was not aware that you are not allowed to take passengers with you, or that you are, and I quote, "the circuit is NOT to be used as a race track at racing speeds" and "Any tyre squeal should be taken as excessive speeds" I'm I to assume that this is not going to be a 'normal' track day session and that they will not allow you to go 'too' fast?? Is it worth bringing my track tyres along as it seams that we will not be allowed to make them squeal!(that is if there is the facility to have your tyres changed?)

Guys n Gals.
The SIDC arena is obviously only open to SIDC members, as are the track sessions (Harj!).
If anyone wants to come now they will have to book their tickets direct with TRAX and I can send you a club pass as long as you are in the club.
Please mail me your address and membership number if you want a pass.
The pass will get your car and passengers into the SIDC arena, the entry tickets are one per person.
As we have booked exclusive sessions, there will be more leniancy regarding speed on track.
I don't think you will need track tyres considering they're only 15 min sessions, which should give you 7 laps or so.
Any other questions, ask away!

How many cars in each track session ? I have taken the TRAX2000 insurance option but want to verify my position regarding my own insurance, which allegedly covers me for trackdays.

I don't have tickets for Trax and i'm not a member of the SIDC, does this mean I can't enter the arena area with you guys and gals?
Can I still buy entry tickets to the stand?
I don't want track passes.
Cheers

How many laps on average do we get per session?
Are the sessions 15 mins long?
I know the circuit is about 2.2 miles long - so what sort of lap times can we expect.....?
How many of us are there in the Subaru area.?
The 10th seems a long way off at the mo. ..!
