Default MY05 WRX PPP What is next Mod

Had the WRX PPP for a while now and I have heard that you can have a switchable map installed to give a 'bit more' with a hidden switch, which, if the dealer does not cotton on does not effect the warrantee.

Any further info would be interesting.

think its a ECUTEK remap but the switchable map (via rear heated screen button) only works on 2 revisions of newage ECU's.

hope this helps

Subaru Warranty Department have now noted your admission of wrongdoing - they read these pages you know!!!

They KNOW that these cars only go wrong when muppets play with them when they shouldn't!

I was just pointing out that standing on that soapbox shouting about a hidden switch just alerts the Subaru Warranty Department to note your name and investigate any claim with a fine toothed comb!

Maybe its just me, but do you think Subaru UK have better things to do than try to find out my name, car, dealership etc etc, just in case i do have a mod to my car and then put in a claim...

Wouldn't mind the job though...

"Subaru Sluth wanted - To track down all Scooby netters who may want to perform an 'illegal mod on their car, the successful candidate would have their own computer a Scoobynet account and nothing better to do... The role may also entail sitting outside all race circuits on trackdays with a very big pair of binoculars jotting down reg. No.s of all subarus attending... May also entail visting various Macdonalds on a Fri / Sat night just in case they do something there we don't like..

Anybody actually had switchable Map done then or not.... Or are you all scared..

Chris,

Plenty of options available... all depends on how much you want I suspect. I would contact one of the advertisers who use the banner ad facility (plenty to choose from) for further info regarding your specific requirements.

Regards,
Shaun.

All warranty claims have to be authorised by International Motors, not the dealership. So they don't have to hunt you down, they just add your name to their database in case you make a claim.

Not stirring, just pointing this out
