Default MY02STI PPP Vs MY05STI PPP

Folks,

I read on here recently a post from Mike Wood stating that the MY05STI PPP was way quicker than the MY02STI PPP.

So, have any of you upgraded to the new model? If so, whats you're thoughts on the new car.

Thanks,

Shaun

I never drove the my02, but the DCCD is a massive improvement on 03/04 models. it changes it from a point and squirt to a real evo frightner

Was sort of after some real world advice - don't **** a about EVO's.

Anyone else offer anything regarding the differences between these two cars?

On the road I would guess you won't see big differences unless you drive round like a complete t$at. On track the DCCD should begin to tell though.

As to Mike Wood stating the MY05 is way quicker than the MY02 then that's just salesman talk.

Which was the car they brought out that would do 0-100 in 10.5 secs? PMSL!

Sorry It's no sales talk!
I've had STi7 02 PPP and now have STi 05 PPP and the car knocks spots off the 02 one, power delivery, handling, ride, build quality, turn in/is fantastic, no undeer steer. I nearly got one of the discounted STi 04 cars how lucky was I that I missed that boat and went for the 05. The DCCD is left in AUTO and it sorts it self out mybe used on a track but no good on normal roads!!!
Hope that helps you!!

the fact that the my 05 models have slightly more BHP than the my 02 as standard might just make a bit of differance along with other modifacations subaru have made
