Its so easy. Wash and dry yer car. The cleanse the car using the white applicator and the cleanse. Buff the cleanse with one of the towels supplied. When done put the cleanse away for six months or so.

Re the wax: apply wax using the sponge applicator. Apply wax to say the front wing. Immediately buff using the other towel provided. Repeat process panel by panel until the car is complete.

Just ensure that u work in the shade and that the [aintwork is cool to touch.

Re the glass cleaner and protector just follow the instructions.

If u have further anxst please do call me over the weekend on 0402 822544 when I will be more than happy to talk u thru each stage.

Rik,

I bought th emerlin kit and its superb, I have a black car which are a nightmare to polish but this stuff is excellent.. Once youve polished it a couple of times you can just wsh a shammy and it comes up like its polished again...I know it abit pricey but it lasts ages and is excellent..

Good luck

Mark Underwood. See above. He IS the Wizard of Wax!

In fact he does resemble the "Gandalf" lookalike on their website home page.

Question

I've got to admit I am a little confused with the advice Mark, but only because:
On the instructions on the pot of Merlin wax it advises to allow to dry to a haze ( up to 15 minutes). But all the testimonies, and your own instructions above, say it is to be buffed off immediately!
A new label in order here?
Cheers
Chuck

Chuckster

That label was produced in the winter. It should read 5 mins and thats in the freezing cold. New labels have been done already.

The instructions are now "buff immediately or when the wax has hazed (dried) up to 5 mins in winter cold temoperatures."

rik -I can add my recommendation here. It really is as easy as the labels (and Mark) say. The cleanse is the 'hardest' bit, but even that is easier than autoglym polish. The wax is a breeze. The result is fantastic!!!

Hmm, could just be BT Internet being pants as usual, but WaxWizard.com doesn't work.

Neither does the WaxWizard banner ad - gives a WebAdverts error.

Well, Mark came to visit and give me a quick demo. I used the stuff today and have the following to say.
The cleanser is a bit of a pain to apply and get off again, the was is a complete doddle. I assume (Mark, let me know pls) that I now just apply the wax for a few months?
Anyway, the car looks great for the visit to Belgium next weekend.

The cleanse is easy if u did what I did when I showed u. Take a small area and apply product and then buff immediately. Continue until the car is done.

The wax as u say is a doddle. Make sure that a second and indeed A 3RD COAT IS APPLIED B4 u go to Belgium. Re wax at leat once a month but better still twice a month. Wash and drycar b4 you wax.

Mark, I sent an E-mail to the address on your website (info@waxwizard.com), but I haven't heard back yet. What's the best E-mail address to contact you on?

Thats it, the neigbours think I'm a looney. I wash & wax the car and put it away. The next day I take out a pristine car from the garage and repeat the same process. Tonight was the third time. Still, it looks great now!
Thanks WW!

Don't want to sound bad, but i have to see this for myself... 145 pounds for a wax kit? How long does a kit last? Are the affects really that good? I take my car to a jet wash which costs £1.40 each time, takes 6 mins with virtually no effort to make it look good.
Ian

PS- I don't want to sound like a cheapskate either...lol, but the difference between 1.40 and 145.00 is quite big just for cleaning your car
PPS- I clean my car every other day , so i think i would be bankrupt unless the stuff lasts 6 months

Hos, my kit only cost £50, and that included shampoo, cleanse, merlin wax, glass clean, wheel clean, 'protector', multiclean and all cloths etc.

The effect is amazing. Parked next to brand new cars in the car park, their paintwork looks old and flat. You do have to see it to beleive it!

I do 500 miles a week, and a wash and wax every two weeks (with just a wash in between) keeps it sparkling. Judging on how much I have used so far, the pack will last more than a year

Jet washes are fine, BUT the soap has detergent in it which at best will just strip any wax/polish etc on the car, at worst will damage the paintwork.

Where are you geographically? I am happy to 'do a wing' of your car to show you what you are missing!

plus...

if you spend £1.40 every other day, thats £255 per year.

£60 for the kit I mentioned above, your car will only need washing once a week to keep it clean, so you may go through an extra £20 worth of shampoo each year, but you'd still be £175 better off!

Washing the car yourself with the WW shampoo is only a 15 minute job, even waxing is only a 30 minute job once/twice a month!!

See and you will believe

Cool

I got the Subaru Wax kit. The cleanser No1 is, for my money what makes the job a good 'un, as waxing over a completely spotless car makes a huge difference. The cleanser applicator is absolutley filthy, evn thought the shampooed car looked very clean to start with.

I was amazed at just how little wax one uses. It'll last me yonks!

I also have some cleanser No 3 and superior emollient wax to try on a friends K Reg mini with v. oxidised paint work.

Cool

I currently use Autoglym Super Resin Polish plus the "extra gloss protection" to wax my Scoob. This takes a good couple of hours.

I've heard sooo much about WW on this BBS. Am I wasting my time using my current Autoglym stuff ?

Is it **THAT** much better ?

I've used the Autoglym polish + the WW Merlin wax.

Merlin wax gives better results IMHO, and the 2 other best benefits are:

1. No nasty white residue on your black plastic

2. No white bits when polishing off.

so well worth it in my opinion.

Well i received my merlin kit a few weeks ago, but due to bad weather and the fact some guys on here said it was hard work put me right off

Fact is, i cleansed & waxed on sunday evening, then waxed again on monday morning and the car looked better than it has ever done and im a car cleaning fanatic (ask the wife).

I've used mer, autoglym, some max wax stuff and none of them made the car look and feel as good as WW did.
Cleanse was ok to use but the wax was by far the best i have used.
It tipped it down 30 mins after finishing on monday but watching the water stream away was awesome, as was taking it round the block once it had stopped. Once round the block and bone dry again !
Any residual dirty water can be wiped off with a soft cloth! Don't even need to scrub at flies too much either !

My only slight complaint being how quick im going to go through the stuff !
Cleanse is fine, but have used about 50% of the wax already eek !

Its top gear get some today if you are even thinking about polishing your car.
A friend with an evo6 who just jet washes and dries with a chamois refuses to polish his car. But after seeing and feeling mine (ooer missus) he's seriously considering ordering some.

PTHolt

Glad to hear that you have liked the results! However i am shocked to see that u have already used sooooo much wax. If u have the large 200ml pot that is suffice for around 40 to 50 waxing!!!!!!!!

The motto wityh the waxes...u apply very sparingly and then buff almost immediately.
Apply a lot less wax and u'll get the same result. Remember a little goes a long way!

If u need advise callme on 0402 822544 or on the freephone number.

regards

OK sooooo I get the picture that this WW stuff is good.

What do I need ?
Can I survive on the WW Wax itself, or so I need cleanser, etc etc...

It usually gets "well waxed" once a month, just prior to a Hillclimb usually .

Mark.

To get best results you need to Cleanse first - rememberwax only covers what is already on the paintwork.

The wheel cleaner is fantastic, better than any of the Wonder Wheels products. The glass cleaner like wise, and the 'protector' is a fast and easy way to clean the exterior and interior plastic and get it looking like new.

I would go for the full starter pack - currently only £50 (if offer still on)
