Question new owner

I am currently looking at buying my first impreza wrx. I am looking for a standard uk car with no mod's for insurance reasons.
I will be buying the car from an authorised Subaru dealer.
However, I was under the impression that scooby's were bullet proof but reading
some threads i am now a bit on the nervous side.
I am concerned about engine's going bang & high warranty costs.
Surely a regularly serviced car should last well over 50K these day's ?
Any advice regarding all ownership aspects would be appreciated.

A standard new age (2001-) WRX or STi should be fine as long as it's been service at the proper intervals.

Have a search on here and you should find answers to most of your quesions.

What age car are you planning to buy?

I had an 01 wrx and i didn't have any problems with it. I had it for a year and nothing more than a change of front tyres and service.

Must be the way you drive...

What with that and the TVR needing an engine rebuild. What chance does the poor Spec C stand???
