Classic to Bug Eye - Done Deal!
I've had the MY99 in mica green for 2 years nearly and god love her she's been a beaut, but just like me the miles are beginning to show. So tonight I test drove and bought a blue/black 02 bugeye which I pick up next week...
Only 14000 genuine miles, FSH, other than that totally standard (for now )... Am getting Morette headlights fitted and a boost gauge before I pick her up...
But the question is what should I do next... My classic was slightly modded before I got it (Eibachs, Magnex Exhaust, Bleed Valve, Boost Gauge) and I got Mintex pads and discs added to it too...
I need to remember that its only going to be one thing every couple of months so what should be the key things early doors?

Looking back to when I got my Bugeye
the best bits were the Morettes (you already have) the 6x4 oval Magnex exhaust and the eibach springs to get rid of the "bugeye on stilts" look
Just take it from there
Midlife......

Handling first, fit the best suspension you can get your hands on.
Full alloy drop links
rear anti roll bar
Front strut brace
New springs
Shocks
Anti lift
Prodrive wheel alignment
I always found the handling good but not great. Now I find the car is great but tyre wear is worrying!
I have just started on the performance mods. I didnt see any point until I had the handling to cope with it all.
PM me if you want details, my setup and what its cost me.
Decat & a Tek3 remap.
Job's a good un!

Why would anyone go from a classic to a bugeye???? Isn't the fact that Subaru stopped manufacturing them after only a couple of years enough of a deterrent??
I'll now run for cover!
