Talking Ordered MY05 STI on Saturday

I've ordered it at last......delivery on 18th March so less than 2 weeks already and can't wait. Ordered PPP at the same time so once those first 1000 miles are out the way I will have PPP fitted too. Managed to get the 3 years free serviceing too as I will take delivery before the end of April.

Also went for STI Mats and Mud flaps and got £1500 off list price, so pretty happy with that too.

Just need to sort out insurance now with someone who is not confused by the PPP issue.

Where do I find out about Track meets etc for South UK ?

Been looking into this myself.
Is that all for £26500 then? Or were the mats & flaps extra? Daz

I test drove one a few weeks ago.(non PPP)
I didnt think it seemed that quick. (mine 300bhp classic) How do you find it?

In fairness it was only a short test drive and it wasnt properly warmed up (I only did about 3 miles as it was the showroom model not a proper demo)
I really want to buy one but dont think I got a good feel for it speedwise.
Handling I thought was superb, far better than mine, and build fantastic.
Would appreciate your thoughts. Daz

Hi Simon

Glad to see you've finally taken the plunge and you'll be getting a much better car than you would have got 6 months ago (must have been able to see into the future or something..)

Anyway you asked about Track meets, etc - have a look under the Southern section on here but also look at the SIDC website too. If you're not a member then you need to sign up soon to get the benefits and your quarterly mag (True Grip).

There is a trackday at Goodwood in July. We have local meets in Pompey/ Southampton - have a look here

Come along on Monday and say hello. I'll gove you more details of the impending meets and tell you why your new car (even with PPP fitted) will be slower than mine

Cheers

Terry

Hi Dazc:-
I got the Mud Flaps and STI Mats free with a further £1000 off on top, so in all nearly £1500 off list price (UK STI).

I was quite happy with that. I also will have the 3 years free servicing as I take delivery before the end of April, when the offer expires.

Terryb:-
Cheers for getting back to me, Saw your track pic's, over 300BHP now then ? well done and in a lighter car too, as I know power to weight ratio is what it is all about !!
I'm off work this week, but drop me an email and we can keep in touch.

Cheers,

Si
