P1 or STi 6?
Hi Guys,
Just wanted your opinons, is it worth paying an extra £5000 odd to get a P1 or will a low mileage STi 6 do the trick?
I am not just after the 2 door thing

Same here,
IMHO STi Type R is the way to go!
P1's are great, but you get more with the Type R i.e. Diff control, ic spray, and there faster.
+ you wouldnt have to spend that extra 5k!!

Non Type-R STi is well worth a look. People seem to be asking a fair bit more for a Type R. Depends if you think you need DCCD / waterspray / 2 doors I guess.
I have a 4 door STi5

Depends on what use you want from a car. I've had both, and to be honest the best all round car is the P1, especially if it has that all important subaru warranty remaining. Most of the 'extras' the sti has are pretty gimmicky, and the DCCD you get will only be an advantage to the enthusiastic and very competent driver.
Also, the second hand prices between the two cars are not much these days. For an everyday car it's the P1 every time, for a weekend/track thing I'd have an sti.

Not me either! I dont go to the meets generally.
Selling as I fancy an S2000. Its a really tough choice, the STi5 is absolutely amazing to drive... Ill be back though, but maybe an EVO6 this time.

v6 sti type r limited, but then i would say that cause thats what i bought! as i imagine thats what most of the responses will be based on?? my opinion is that a 2 door will hold its money better (fingers crossed). but thats by no means the reason i bought the car, but maybe an added bonus. unless your planning on doing alot of motorway miles i'd still go for an sti over a p1, but thats me (me thats never driven a p1!).
