Snow tyres on WRX
After reading all the threads and links on snowtyres .. and discovering that they're winter tyres which aren't going to overheat and explode if I don't dive headlong into a snowbank every 30 seconds ... I've decided to put my old legacy snow wheels/tyres on the WRX for next weeks jaunt round Scotland (thanks for all the tips on recommended pubs, routes, islands and passes so far).
It looks like a tractor ! They're Pirelli snowsport 210's .. 215/60 R16's and they pretty much fill the arches. It's sitting a good inch higher ! At least the speedo should be accurate now !
I take it this size tyre is ok on an '03 WRX and I'm not going to end up grinding through the inner arches ???

The correct size for WRX 16" tyres is 205/55R16 or 225/50R16. What you have now is quite a bit bigger (35mm in diameter). It may still work fine but I wouldn't be surprised if the fronts start to grind the wheel arches in bumps, especially when turning.
